CONTINUOUS COLLABORATION IN BUILDING FUTURES WITH KEYSS
Once again, Kashida collaborated with KEYSS Project to develop a comprehensive course aimed at preparing Saudi youth for the professional environment. This project, initiated in January 2023, was designed to provide students and young adults across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with essential preparatory materials for entering the workforce. The course targeted university students and young adults, aiming to bridge the skill gap specific to nonprofit and third-sector employment, thus enabling learners to contribute effectively to their communities.

FACING THE CHALLENGES _
The project faced several challenges that required thoughtful solutions. One primary challenge was ensuring cultural sensitivity, given the diverse backgrounds of learners in Saudi Arabia. This was addressed by incorporating culturally relevant examples, graphics, and visuals to make the content more relatable and respectful of local customs. Another challenge was the language barrier, as some participants preferred Arabic over English. To tackle this, the course was localized into Arabic, providing learners with the option to engage in their preferred language. Lastly, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical application was crucial. This was achieved by integrating real-life case studies and practical examples, as well as including a LinkedIn profile activity where learners could apply their knowledge progressively.
GETTING DEEPER INTO KASHIDA’S LEARNING SOLUTIONS_
As usual, Kashida planned suitable solutions to every challenge. The course was designed with a structured learning path, ensuring easy navigation for all learners. Real-life case studies and practical examples were interwoven with theoretical content to bridge the gap between knowledge and application. Each module included an activity to gradually construct a LinkedIn profile, focusing on relevant sections as the course progressed. This hands-on approach ensured that learners not only understood the theoretical aspects but also knew how to apply them in real-world scenarios. The course materials were provided in both English and Arabic, ensuring accessibility for all participants. Culturally appropriate graphics and visuals further enhanced the learning experience, making the content engaging and relatable.
RESULTS THAT STAY
The course saw impressive results, with participants showing significant improvement in their understanding and readiness for the professional environment. Pre-course and post-course assessments revealed a marked increase in knowledge and interest across several key areas.
For example, interest in community impact projects rose from 70% to 99%, familiarity with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) increased from 23% to 87%, and understanding of communication methods and their impact jumped from 33% to 99%.
Testimonials from participants highlighted the course’s effectiveness in unlocking their skills, understanding the work environment, and identifying career goals. One participant stated, “I was able to unlock my skills and had a better understanding of the work environment. The course was performed by The KEYSS Project in the most amazing way. Thank you for all your hard work!” Another noted, “The program gave us a big opportunity to identify our career goals, passion, and skills. Also, the program allows us to know about great NGOs, it was truly eye-opening to discover these great efforts by the youth generation.”
Through collaborative efforts and innovative learning solutions, Kashida and the KEYSS Project successfully addressed the skill needs of Saudi youth, empowering them to navigate the complexities of the professional world with confidence and competence!
