Project Description
Development of 3 online self-paced training courses for IUCN through Climate Bonds Initiative, on climate finance for low and middle-income countries.
The courses: “Nature-based Investment–A Guide for Agribusiness”, “Financing Climate-and Nature-Aligned Subnational Entities” and “Navigating ESG Risks– A Practical Guide for Sustainable Financial Investment” will capture fundamental elements of the thematic training workshops and webinars, reflecting feedback from these events.
Target Countries for in-person training: Kenya, Brazil, Indonesia, Morocco
Platform: The course will be delivered online through the IUCN Academy platform
Client Description
Climate Bonds Initiative is an international organization focused on mobilizing global capital for climate solutions. It promotes investment in projects and assets needed for a rapid transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy. The organization is best known for developing the Climate Bonds Standard and Certification Scheme, which helps investors, governments, and issuers ensure that bonds are aligned with climate goals. Their work supports the growth of the green bond market by defining what qualifies as climate-aligned investment and providing guidance for sustainable finance.

The Challenge _
Initially, the course content was scattered across Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. It required reorganization into a structured format for effective delivery to the target audience, along with the addition of assessments and certificates of completion. The content also needed enhancement and visual embellishment to make it more engaging and appealing to learners.
The Solution_
Kashida provided end-to-end services in learning design, content development, and learning production for three self-paced online training courses, each aligned with the three themes mentioned above. The agreed scope of work included the following key deliverables:
1. Learning Design:
- Conducted two Learning Experience Analysis & Design workshops per course theme (six workshops in total).
- Developed visual guidelines and user interface (UI) templates to ensure a consistent and engaging learner experience.
2. Content Development:
- Collaborated with Climate Bonds’ subject matter experts (SMEs) to compile and refine course content into structured content sheets.
3. Learning Production:
- Authored up to 10 hours of e-learning content per theme using Articulate Rise, leveraging its built-in features to create interactive, accessible, and visually engaging modules.
