Challenges emerged when faced with the transition from face-to-face to online learning as well asthe preservation of the inquiry-based learning method. Furthermore, Amidst travel restrictions for video production,adapting to the online space demanded the retention of group dynamics, discussions, instructor feedback, and peer interaction. Collaborating closely with Kashida, the team adeptly navigated the complexities of remote video production, seeking trusted partners, adhering to safety measures, and orchestrating the process from a distance, emphasizing adaptability in the face of unprecedented learning dynamics.
INNOVATIVE LEARNING SOLUTIONS_
The solution unfolded with Kashida, encompassing a unified course design that seamlessly blended self-paced and instructor-led options. Learners could choose self-paced learning or engage in instructor-led sessions through an instructor guide and web conferencing. Each module is comprised of three components. The “Question Node” introduced thought-provoking questions for independent reflection. The “Exploratory Node” featured unscripted peer responses in videos, fostering authentic peer learning. In instructor-led sessions, synchronous discussions enriched the experience. The “Explanation Node” included Riyali instructor feedback for self-paced learners, mimicking face-to-face experiences. In instructor-led sessions, this feedback served as a foundation for tailored guidance. This streamlined approach maintained the inquiry-based essence while accommodating diverse learning preferences.

Results spoke volumes where 4,626 students enrolled in the Ajyal financial literacy course as of February 2022, achieving an admirable completion rate of 12%. In comparison, another success story unfolded with the Ajyal competition, where 154,504 participants enrolled, and an impressive 72,872 completed the course, resulting in a completion rate of 47%. Beyond numerical success, Kashida’s was able to seamlessly shift Ajyal to be online, preserving inquiry-based learning. Overcoming remote video production challenges highlighted adaptability and technological finesse. Riyali’s financial literacy vision advanced, empowering learners towards financial dignity.
